Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should satisfy the following requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home with a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house earnings won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every my nsfas annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the right Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only nsfas application funds people who are finding out or plan to study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
